Deep Throat- The Assange Process. (Films of my Life)

  Since the wartergate scandal till today, the world did change a lot, not necessarely in the best way.   At that time, the American courts decided no other considerations could prevail over freedom of information. That did happen in the time of the cold war, when Soviet Union really had Mass Destruction Weapons (and many) and could be really considered a big threat for the American and West European ways of life. Now, with a much lower risk of a nuclear war against U.S.A., many americans consider Assange should be judged as a traitor, and possibly convicted to death row. What did change, meanwhile? Is America in bigger danger now? Are the american enemies (Iran, North Corea, Venezuela or others, they tell us) so more dangerous than the big and powerfull USSR?

  Obviously not. Even the attack of 9-11 ( that is still envolved in ta dense mist of desinformation) does not justify the paranoid feeling created and developed under the Bush administration. The U.S.A. or any other country are exposed, of course, to other terrorist attacks - including from their own citizens, wich has happened before - but, as a Nation, will certainly survive. This is a guarantee no one had fifty years ago, when the national security issues (and the secrecy envolved in it) were much hotter than today.

The answer for this hysteria against Assange has to be found, than, somewhere else, not in the fear of the ennemy. In fact, Wikileaks revelations bring a bigger risk of domestic revolts than international clashes, this is too obvious.

  Yes, we now have evidences of the dirty games of the political, militair and financial mafias (not only the American, by the way) and the chance this people will be, one day, called to responsability became bigger . But that will not, by itself, kill Nations or militair alliances. It can just eliminate the letal cancer that is undermining the social body of many Nations.

  Wich one of us, beeing seriously ill, would not like to get rid of such an evil desease?. Well, I'm sure killing the Doctor after the diagnosis, is never a good idea. Even if he was wrong about it...

  Now,  sick people, open your mouth and say: AAAAAHHHH...

Garganta Funda: O Processo Assange (Filmes da minha vida)

  Desde o escândalo Watergate até aos dias de hoje, o mundo mudou muito, nem sempre na melhor direcção.   Nesse tempo, os Tribunais Americanos decidiram que nenhuma outra consideração se podia sobrepôr à Liberdade de Informação. Isto aconteceu em plena guerra fria, quando a União Soviética tinha, de facto Armas de Destruição Maciça (e quantas!!!) e poderia ser considerada uma grande ameaça aos modos de vida Europeu e Americano. Hoje, sob um risco muito menor de uma Guerra de aniquilação, muitos Americanos consideram que Assange devia ser julgado como traidor, e provavelmente, condenado à morte. Que mudou entretanto? Está a América em maior perigo agora? Serão os seus inimigos (Irão, Coreia do Norte, Venezuela dizem-nos) tão mais perigosos que a poderosa e extinta União Soviética??

  É evidente que não. Apesar do onze de Setembro (que continua envolvido numa densa névoa de desinformação) não se justifica a paranóia concebida e executada pela Administração Bush . 

  Os E.U.A. estão, é claro, como qualquer outra Nação, expostos a ataques terroristas - incluindo os vindos dos seus próprios cidadãos, como também já aconteceu - Mas a continuação da sua existência como Nação já não está em causa. Isto é uma garantia que ninguém tinha, há cinquenta anos atrás, quando os assuntos que envolviam a sua segurança Nacional (e o secretismo que os envolvia) eram muito mais quentes que hoje.

A razão de toda esta histeria contra Assange tem de ser, portanto, procurada noutro lugar que não no medo do inimigo. 

De facto, as revelações da Wikileaks comportam maior risco de revoltas domésticas do que conflitos internacionais, como se tem visto. 

  Sim, agora temos provas concretas dos jogos sujos das máfias políticas, militares e financeiras ( e não só de Americanos) e a probabilidade de um dia, chamar estas pessoas à responsabilidade, cresceu. Mas não será isso que há-de matar Nações ou Alianças militares. Na verdade, as revelações da organização de Assange só podem ajudar a extirpar o cancro  que ameaça romper o tecido social de muitos países.

  Qual de nós, estando doente, não quereria curar-se?. 

Em todo o caso, matar o Doutor que fez o diagnóstico nunca será boa ideia. Ainda que ele esteja errado.

Agora, gente doentia: abram a boca e digam AAAAAAHHHH...
